    • Unlike other physiotherapists, who may offer basic treatment or simplistic stretches and applying the metaphorical "band-aid"; we deliver a holistic combination of therapeutic, evidence-based treatments and comprehensive rehabilitation plans to address the root cause of your symptoms, both to alleviate your symptoms in the short-term and your long-term recovery.

  • When you see a physiotherapist for the first time, your session starts with the "subjective assessment", where we sit down for a short interview to understand the history of your issue, the nature of your symptoms and how it is affecting you.

Upon completion of the subjective assessment, we proceed to the "objective assessment", where we look at how you move, test elements of strength and perform some "special tests" to help identify or rule out the root cause of your symptoms.

Once we have identified the probable cause of your symptoms, your physio will explain this to you an discuss the treatment options available. Where appropriate your physio may then perform some hands on treatment to alleviate your symptoms and go through some exercises appropriate to help you begin your recovery.

  • You do not need to be referred by your GP to be seen at Olympus Physiotherapy; we accept all self-referrals. If you are not sure if physiotherapy is right for you, we are more than happy to discuss your needs over a brief call and advise you on your best options.
